It’s never pleasant walking under this bridge near South Croydon Station.
Dark and dingy it often feels unsafe.
I was however shocked at its disgusting state when I walked to South End recently.
Rubbish and litter just swept into a corner and not even picked up. Rubble, glass, cans on the footpath. It is covered too in graffiti of all kinds.
It’s sad to see the effects of the bankruptcy of the Labour Council as the cuts to staff and services begin to bite.
We want to be proud of our local area and everyone has a part to play.
in the coming weeks the South Croydon councillors will be taking part in litter picks in this area.
I have reported the state of the footpath to the Director and hope to see an improvement
