The Coronavirus Pandemic has affected every single one of us over the last eighteen months, and I believe it is only fitting that we should recognise and remember the pain it has caused to our Croydon community. At the same time it would be good to be able to thank our local NHS and frontline workers who have worked so hard to keep us as safe and well as possible.
Over the last few weeks, I have been looking at an opportunity to create a memorial in Park Hill Park - working closely with the dedicated "Friends of Park Hill Park" Group and local residents. I believe we have the possibility to create a beautiful memorial that will also respect the history of the Park.

I am really happy to be working on this on a cross-Party basis, because it is so important for all of us to reflect on the suffering caused by the virus both at home in Croydon, and around the world.
Do look out for further news on this - and for opportunities to contribute if you'd like to.
