The Government has provided £220M to continue its Holiday Activities and Food programme across the whole of England in 2021. This programme provides healthy food and enriching activities to children in receipt of benefits related free school meals and has run since 2018.
Eligible children in Croydon can now sign up for free activity clubs with healthy meals over the summer holidays. The programme will provide:
- free, nutritious and tasty food
- fun physical activity sessions
- a wide range of other exciting activities to suit different ages and personalities
- opportunities to learn more about food and nutrition for children and their families
A list of the clubs is attached - do contact the clubs direct to sign up for a place. The closest venue for us seems to be Purley Oaks Children's Centre just off Brighton Road.
