Many local residents and motorists passing though will be aware that we have had lane closures around Capella Court, which is the oval building opposite the Recycling Centre. Work at this site is entering a 2nd phase which will necessitate the closure of the right hand lane to northbound traffic from 24th July to 7th August, which is in the school holiday. Advance warning signs were supposed to be out for 2 weeks which I don't believe has actually been the case. The diversion for displaced traffic will be via A235 Brighton Road, the A22 Purley Road and the A23 Brighton Road.
I can't actually picture what this will entail and I have requested a map several times. Should I finally receive one, I will update this website. This is at the same time as possible road closures on Mitchley Avenue so there is the potential for several routes to be difficult, especially for Riddlesdown residents.
