It was great to participate this week in a session organised by ARCC (Asian Resource Centre of Croydon) focusing on mental health provision locally.
The South London and the NHS Maudsley Trust are developing a new five year strategy to improve their services.
It was good to hear residents talk about how important it was for there be an understanding of the communities that service users come from and I hope the Trust will listen to this.
There was a clear focus on looking at ensuring all service users are treated equally.
As we emerge from the pandemic I believe that it’s crucial people from all communities within Park Hill and Whitgift are able to access and receive the right support and I will continue to look for ways I can work with ARCC to achieve this.
