Last week Cllr. Andy Stranack (Shadow Cabinet Member for Safer Croydon, Communities and Business Recovery) met with Wendy Parr from Sanderstead and Selsdon Rotary Club to hear about the positive work that local Rotarians have undertaken during the COVID crisis and throughout the year. Andy commented:-
"It was a real pleasure to spend time with Wendy and eye opening to learn about the wide breadth of work that business people and professionals undertake to support the local community. Throughout COVID they have supported the effort to get food parcels out to isolated residents living locally.
Throughout the year they provide valuable services to the local community including - outings for senior residents, youth competitions, providing defibrillators in public places, holding community events in Selsdon and Sanderstead providing gifts and parties to isolated residents across the local area and of course provide transport and helpers to Santa every Christmas."
