Flooding on Mitchley Avenue

This morning we had predictable flooding on Mitchley Avenue outside St Edmunds Church, Attached are photos taken after the peak although water was still flowing down Copthorne Rise (over blocked drains), along Mitchley Avenue and then at some speed down Lower Barn Road.

New flood alleviation work should be commencing on 24 July.

Please drive considerately through the water to save your own engine and to protect pedestrians.
