It was great to be back at St Edmunds on Tuesday afternoon for Midweek Eucharist.
It's been around 15 months since the last service which was presented as very much an end of an era. Changes to the parishes mean that St Edmunds will benefit from new funding and we now have a 3pm service on Tuesdays.
We had a lovely group attending, most of whom I knew from volunteering with St Edmunds Caring Group or through discussions we'd had prior to the services ending previously - and of course we had Father Grant officiating who many local residents will know from St James and St Mary's.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with each other over a cuppa and a rather fantastic lemon drizzle (thank you Muriel) which we had outside afterwards.
Do come along if you can make it. The service was very welcoming and it's very much a case of 'the more, the merrier'.
