The proposals by Croydon's Labour Council to make deep cuts to the vital services to vulnerable families by slashing the number of Childrens Centres in Croydon but particularly in the south of the borough is shocking.
Children’s Centres are so important bringing many services together in one place to support families. I am saddened and angered at the proposal to close Purley Oaks Childrens Centre whose staff have worked tirelessly to give parenting advice and support and emotional help to young children helping them to prepare them for school and much more. I have little doubt that this closure if it goes ahead will impact on many very young children and their parents in our ward of South Croydon. It will affect families well beyond our ward too all because of the financial incompetence that has led to bankruptcy of the Council.
I don’t want children and families in our ward to pay the price of this incompetence so please take part in the consultation and fill out the survey on the Councils website www.croydon.gov.uk

Consultation ends on June 13th so have your say before that date
