I’ve had a number of residents contact me with concerns about the conditions of roads and potholes in Kenley. More than a quarter of drivers in the UK say their cars have been damaged by potholes but not everyone reports damage caused by potholes to their council.
Cuts to council budgets as a result of the bankruptcy have meant roads are being maintained to the ‘minimum safest levels’. However, residents should still report issues on their roads, this can be done through the council website.
I would also encourage residents to download and use the ‘LoveCleanStreets’ app, which gives residents the ability to take pictures & report highway defects in addition to other issues. I recently used the app to report potholes in Burcott Road, Haydn Avenue and Old Lodge Lane.
