I have received reports of foxes taking food waste, presumably from food waste bins, and spreading the food around the neighbourhood.
It is easy to stop this happening by ensuring that our food waste bins are locked - the foxes are smart, but not smart enough to open a locked bin.
In order to ensure that your food waste bin is locked, turn the handle to the front of the bin, making it impossible for animals to break in, unless they're willing to chew their way in. If you forget which way to turn the handle, take a look at the diagram imprinted on the lid.
