A resident who has recently moved into the area raised concerns over the amount of debris, litter and overflowing bins at the back of the alleyway behind the shops in Hamsey Green. Whilst the shops are shut a number of fly tipped bags and other rubbish in my opinion has become an environmental hazard. I have reported this to the council and I hope that something will be done to clear the area. The alleyway is private but the council still has responsibility to ensure the area is kept clean and safe.
