Over the last few weeks one of the key items that came up on the door when speaking to residents was how we can work together in Park Hill and Whitgift to keep the community safe for everyone.
Residents raised with me; issues on speeding, theft, anti-social behaviour and e-scooters to name a few.
Today I met with our ward Policing team in Park Hill and Whitgift, we walked the ward discussing the challenges they were facing in the ward and the issues above and how we can work together to resolve them.
It was great to hear them commit to speaking to the transport team on the speeding on Park Hill Road and the increased traffic flow around Radcliffe Road, Ranmore and Harland Avenue at some times in the day. It was also good to be updated by them that crime in the ward had reduced by 17% over the last year.
We spoke about the year they'd had working with the community through covid restrictions and how they were keen to ensure a good presence in the ward.
By working with the local policing team, being active on our safer neighbourhood panel, and doing ward walks every few weeks with the police; I hope together we can make Park Hill and Whitgift safer for everyone. If there is anything you'd like me to make the team aware of, or raise with them please do get in touch.
