South Croydon Local Police Team warned dog owners to be careful when walking their dogs. Police received reports about trails of bread and other foods that contain raisins being left along roads in corners and under bushes. Raisins are toxic to dogs particularly if consumed in quantity. As a dog owner I know just how opportunistic dogs can be if they spot what they think is a tasty treat. The trails seem to be left just before dark and affect Castlemaine Ave,Croham Park Ave, Croham Road, Croham Valley Road. I have noticed it as well on the footpath that leads from Normanton rd to Croham Hurst Woods. While this could be an attempt to harm dogs it could also be someone who is ill and needs support.
