As Cabinet Member for Children and Young People it is always a real pleasure to visit schools.
Last Friday I visited Shirley High School and talked to the Principal about what was going well and challenges schools face. There was a relaxing and respectful atmosphere as we toured the school.
The work we saw in the arts department was really inspiring
Listening to the students on the Youth Council I was so impressed by their maturity and their ambitions for their future.
