The last 8 years saw severe cuts to services and staff at Croydon Council by the former Administration especially after the bankruptcy. Most teams are depleted and it will take time for the new Conservative Administration to build up services again particularly facing a £55 million plus black hole in the finances. However we need to listen to our residents and they have contacted me with an urgent message to get the street trees in Harewood road back under control
It’s now difficult to walk down the road with the extraordinary growth coming right across the footpaths and across parked cars. It is now dangerous to walk down this road after dark as residents have told me how frightening it is now.
I have put in a Councillor Enquiry with an urgent request to get this work done as soon as possible.
