Some time ago planning permission was given by Croydon Councils Labour controlled Planning Committee to replace a family home and garden in Moreton Road with two large blocks of flats. I had objected to the application and attended Planning Committee to represent local residents. However all concerns and objections were brushed aside as Labour continue their drive to intensify development in South Croydon.
Demolition has now started. This will be a very large development backing onto railway land as well as fronting Moreton road that will impact on residents in Moreton road and Muggeridge Close. Yet again there will be a loss of trees and green space and corridors and more pressures on local services and parking.
