It was good to see so many local residents attend the South Croydon Ward Panel Meeting last Thursday. I attended the meeting along with my new ward colleague Cllr Danielle Denton
It was pleasing too to have a strong police presence at the meeting.
Concerns we’re raised about the recent break ins and robberies from the shops in Selsdon road and South End. The police have arrested two people and the meeting congratulated the officers on the arrests.
The police reported on their work alongside Council officers at Heathfield Gardens to deal with serious incidents of anti social behaviour and drug problems. They also reported to the meeting their intention of running speed gun operations in some local roads.
Numerous parking issues were raised but these are the responsibility of the Council not the police.
I will raise these with the Council.
