If you have walked down the High Street recently you will have seen work going on to convert what was formerly part of a bank branch to a dentist.
Some more good news this week was that work has now commenced on the former Chalk coffee shop. The lease has been taken over by a local artisan bakery, Coughlans, a very welcome addition to what Selsdon has to offer.
Less good news is that Barclays Bank plans to close at the end of November. Your Councillors are in discussions with Barclays to see what might be done to mitigate this loss to our High Street.
What Selsdon area residents can do to help is to support our High Streets by shopping locally. Please think before you go elsewhere, either to shop or to dine out, or just for a coffee and cake. Our local businesses have a great offer and they need your support.
