While out canvassing recently, I came across a sewage manhole cover in Dale Court, Dale Road which was obviously leaking and had a bad smell.
I reported it online on Tuesday morning 27/5 on the Thames Water website and I was impressed with how quickly they dealt with it.
A Thames Water engineer phoned me from the site on Wednesday morning and it was fixed two hours later, which I thought was very good service.
Sewage leaks in the public domain anywhere in Purley are the responsibility of Thames Water, but fresh water leaks may be the responsibility of Thames Water or Sutton & East Surrey (SESW), depending on the location. In case of doubt, phone SESW on 01737 772000 and and they will advise.
