The application process for secondary school places is now open with the deadline for applications to be made by 31 October. We have two secondary schools in our ward with Harris Academy Purley at the far northern tip and Riddlesdown Collegiate at the southern most tip.
Riddlesdown changed it's admissions criteria last year, removing the feeder school system, which meant that more children in Riddlesdown were able to gain a place at Riddlesdown Collegiate. The removal of feeder schools immediately opened up places to local children who would have not gained a place whilst children at feeder schools as far away as Selsdon would.
