Residents have been in touch to raise their concerns about the recent late collections of waste and the Council has now informed me of the following:
“Rubbish and recycling collections are taking place with a reduced workforce, with food and rubbish prioritised. Collection crews are working throughout day from 6am – 10pm. Residents are advised to leave their bins and boxes out until 10pm if they are waiting for a collection. If the collection is missed, bins should be left at their normal collection point. We will try to return and collect as soon as possible.”
The Council’s preferred process for reporting missed collections is via ‘MyAccount’ at www.croydon.gov.uk Missed collections logged in this way within 2 business days of the missed collection can then be raised with Veolia as a missed collection that needs to be resolved within 1 business day.
However, if you are unable to do, or have any other problems with this please do get in touch with me or one of my Sanderstead Ward colleagues, Tim and Yvette, and we will be happy to help.
