Voluntary help at Sanderstead Library
Residents may have noticed that the library has been closed between 1-2pm on a number of occasions recently. This has been due to staffing issues over the lunchtime period.
Lunchtime Volunteers
Croydon Council have mostly been able to avoid this happening at the other smaller branches by having lunchtime volunteers who assist the staff during the 12-2pm period. Can you spare an hour and be on a rota to help keep our much used library open at lunchtimes?
Summer Holiday Volunteers
As the summer holidays approach, volunteers will also be needed at Sanderstead Library to help with the children’s Summer Reading Challenge which this year has a sports theme – Ready, Set, Read! which starts on July 8th. This role is designed for younger people from age 13+ upwards and also often attracts students who are home for the holidays.
