Roke Road is a narrow road in Kenley, with a correspondingly narrow pavement alongside one side of the road.
It’s a busy road for pedestrians with parents and carers using to access both Hayes School and Harris Academy. However, in recent months, the pavement has been impassable due to over ivy and weeds form the property adjoining it at the top of the hill. This means that pedestrians have had to walk in the road, which has been particularly problematic whilst building works have been ongoing for several new town houses.
Through reporting via the LoveCleanStreet app, the council contacted the landowner to ask them to cut the vegetation and clear the pavement. The pavement is now usable.
