Recent scenes at the European Football Championships have made made of us question whether we would know what to do if someone collapsed in front of us. Those of us who haven't experienced First Aid training would benefit from such courses and I would like to see this being offered in Croydon schools.
In 2019 I was able to fund a new defibrillator, via my Community Ward Budget, on the outside of Riddlesdown Tennis Club on Lower Barn Road. Do look out for it when you next walk past so that you know where it is should you need it in an emergency. It is bright yellow so should be easily found. The machine 'speaks' to the user, telling you exactly what to do so you don't need any prior knowledge. However, it is worth taking a look now at the St John's Ambulance 4-minute video (which I've attached) so that you are more confident should you need to use one in the future.
