A Remembrance service was held earlier today at Croydon Minster, followed by the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at Croydon's war memorial outside the Town Hall. Col Ray Wilkinson who is the Queen's representative in Surrey, known as the Deputy Lieutenant, also attended and read one of the lessons. I'm always impressed by the large number of uniformed and voluntary organisations that take part in this parade and the solemnity with which they conduct themselves.
Let us never forget...
