A resident in Azalea Court, Purley reported to me a few days ago that the recycling bins had not been emptied, and you can see the awful result above. I've found recently that much the best way to get such problems solved QUICKLY is to use the LoveCleanStreets app or the MyCroydon reporting facility on the Council's website. This is because:
- there's a record of what you've reported
- the data goes straight to the Council's contractor, so they are likely to solve the problem much faster
- the contractor is incented by their contract with LBC to clear all items reported via the app or website as quickly as possible.
This is a MUCH better & faster process than queueing on the phone for ages or sending an email to someone, so I strongly recommend it. Obviously there are some residents who are unable to use smartphone apps, so local councillors will always be pleased to help in individual cases.
