An important part of the councillor role is reporting maintenance issues, anything from litter and graffiti to broken benches. About a month ago, I reported that a bench in the High Street had a broken back, and it's pleasing to see that this has now been fixed - though it was a shame that the seat bench was not re-varnished at the same time as the seat back! Maybe next time...
