I was pleased to participate in a litter pick earlier today which was organised by the Purley Business Improvement District (BID). We tackled some well-known litter hotspots such as the high street and the wedge of land between Godstone Rd & Warren Road. It's depressing to think that we could probably fill the same number of bags if we all met again next week and tackled the same areas. There was a huge number of plastic disposable gloves of the type used at fuel filling stations; I know the garages provide bins, but sadly no-one seems to use them :-( .
