Pet Food Pouch Recycling Sanderstead Waitrose

I was pleased to spot someone putting their used (clean) cat food pouches in the Pet Food Pouch Recycling Bin directly in front of the entrance doors at Waitrose in Sanderstead. 

I wasn't aware that this was in place and I recall when there were proposals to expand from the one location in Croydon (Morrisons on Purley Way) there was an expectation that volunteers would be needed to make the scheme work - so thank you to whoever has stepped forward.

The original plan was for the pouches to be sent to Terracycle, a recycling company, to then be turned into plastic fences and benches.
