On the 25th July weekend I was contacted by a number of residents, who kindly let me know that, while very supportive of local events such as the open air cinema at the weekend - the noise levels were excessive and could be heard echoing around the residential area. I spoke to officers who investigated and reported to me that the noise levels were within the allowed limits; while fully supporting events and creative uses of our Parks its essential this works with residents and I will keeping a close watch on any further events held.
