If you live in a newbuild property there are real problems accessing waste services. Apparently there are no new bins available. Residents at new build properties are having to use skips to dispose of household waste and plastics This is the response I have received from the council: "Please note that until adequate bins are on site our contractor will not collect the Waste and Recycling from site. Bins can be provided by any third party but need to meet specification outlined here Hire Bins and Add-On Collections for Flats | Croydon Council. We are experiencing a large volume of queries to deal with, we aim to get back to you within 30 business days. Please email [email protected]. I am sorry that there is no other email address or officer that can assist you.
Oh dear - no bins for residents.
