Latest update from Matthew Kershaw and Agnelo Fernandes on the vaccination walk in clinic.
The coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective and remains our best protection against Covid-19 and the surest route to a return to normal life. Across Croydon we have now delivered over 231,000 vaccinations, with 940,963 vaccinations across South West London as a whole, with over half of the adult population having now received at least one dose.
As part of our continued efforts to increase vaccination uptake in Croydon, we will be opening a walk in clinic at Croydon University Hospital’s vaccination centre next week. This walk-in clinic will be open from 8am to 7pm Monday 10 May to Sunday 16 May 2021. We hope that by offering daily, walk-in clinics we will make it easier for local people to take up the offer of the vaccine.
The clinic will be open to over 40s and frontline health and care staff. To make sure we prioritise eligible groups, we will ask people to bring with them proof of identification (passport, driving licence) or proof of employment (work ID card) for frontline health and care staff. The vaccination centre is in Shirley House accessible by following the signs on Hospital Way, you don’t need to enter the main hospital building.
We would be grateful for your help in promoting this clinic to all eligible Croydon residents through your networks. You can help us by:
• Sharing the attached flyer through your social media channels to advertise this walk-in clinic.
• Retweeting our @NHSCroydon_ message to promote the clinic to your followers – click here to retweet.
This new walk in clinic will complement the existing community, GP led and pop-up clinics that are already delivering the vaccination across the borough. You can read more about the vaccination programme on our website at www.swlondonccg.nhs.uk/covid
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you are doing to help with the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
Best wishes,
Matthew Kershaw
