New Bike Lanes and Road Layouts on Brighton

I was really disappointed to received notice of the new bike lane and road layouts to be implemented on Brighton Road this spring.

Whilst ward councillors were consulted, it seems that our concerns were ignored (I actually received nil response or acknowledgement to my submission) and I would anticipate increased congestion on Brighton Road, traffic backing up Sanderstead Road in the morning rush and potentially for the junction between Brighton and Sanderstead Roads to be more dangerous for all users due to reduced visibility. You will see from the image of this junction that whoever designed it doesn't seem to have visited the site as the image and layout don't fit together.
