This weekend, and during the seasonal break, there will be times when part of Selsdon Road and Sussex Road will be closed to all traffic, including buses and pedestrians. This is due to the ongoing Network Rail bridge replacement on Selsdon Road between its junctions with Chelsham Road and Sussex Road.
As a result, bus routes 403 and 412 will be diverted:
- from 18:00 Sunday 20 December to 01:00 Monday 21 December; and
- at all times, Saturday 26, Sunday 27 and bank holiday Monday 28 December.
Route 403 will be diverted via Upper Selsdon Road Farley Road and Croham Road. Route 412 will be diverted via Croham Road and Farley Road. Customers for route 412 can use route 403 which will be diverted via Upper Selsdon Road and change bus at Selsdon. Please see below for detailed diversion routes.
Network Rail pedestrian shuttle service
At times when there is no pavement access, Network Rail will be running a covid-secure shuttle service for pedestrians who need to get from one side of the bridge to the other. Network Rail has advised there will be signage at both ends of Selsdon Road to indicate where to board this service.
