Coulsdon Town councillors were concerned about reports of trees being removed in Coulsdon Town Centre. We can confirm three trees have been removed, two in Chipstead Valley Road and one by the Scope shop on the Brighton Road. All three trees were dead. The two in Chipstead Valley Road are being replaced by sponsorship provided by Trueloves, the tree outside Scope will be replaced using funding from the Local Authority Tree Fund. We were successful in obtaining the funding to plant approx. 370 replacement trees. Mystery solved!
