On 6th May we have elections for the Mayor of London and London Assembly that have been held over since 2020. Across the Borough 35 of the 148 polling stations have changed and that includes two in POR.
Polling district POR1, which covers the section Pampisford Road in the ward down to Brighton Road from Purley shops to the Purley Oaks roundabout and over to Whytecliffe Road North and Purley Park Road, remains in Christ Church on Brighton Road.
POR2 that covers the area from Biddulph Road, Brighton Road towards South Croydon, Grange, Braemar, Norman, Penwortham, Kendall and over to Sanderstead Road also remains at Sanderstead Lawn Tennis Club on Penwortham Road.
POR3 including Grasmere, Riddlesdown Road and Avenue, Purley Bury and Brancaster Lane is moving from Purley Bury Tennis Club to the neighbouring Purley Bury Bowls club as a better venue for being covid safe.
POR4 is the biggest change of venue. The area covers Coombe Wood Hill, Lower Barn Road and across Mitchley Avenue to all the roads running up to Riddlesdown School. The venue for POR4 has changed from Riddlesdown Tennis Club to a new polling station venue at St Edmund's Church Hall on Mitchley Avenue.
