When I visited Lord Roberts on the Green on Saturday, Ghazala, the café/restaurant's relatively new owner told me that she was planning to open up on Christmas Day and provide a free lunch to those who are on their own and without anywhere to go.
This is an incredibly lovely gesture and I thank Ghazala and her team for thinking of others during this festive period. Christmas is a difficult time for many and I hope initiative this goes some way to helping people enjoy the day. The community is really lucky to have a welcoming environment like Lord Roberts and I am sure it'll be a wonderful, special lunch that brings people together.
