There is another defective Thames Water ironwork cover close to the junction of Farm Fields and Purley Oaks Road on Sanderstead Road. Fortunately, the one at the top of the hill has now been replaced. The ironwork cover is extremely noisy when buses and large lorries pass over the top of it on their route in to the centre of Croydon. A section 81 defect order has been placed with Thames Water so hopefully it won't be too long before it is fixed. Cllr Yvette Hopley
