This Sunday (8th October), there are two community group events taking part, both designed to keep Kenley looking beautiful!
The Friends of Foxley (FoF) will be meeting for their regular workday at 10am at the entrance to Woodland Way. The main task for the day will be to brushcut/scythe and rake the Juniper Glade and re-stake any deer fencing that may need doing. The vegetation inside the Juniper enclosures in Sherwood Glade also needs cutting back as well as the vegetation in the other Juniper enclosures located nearby. Depending on time we may also be able to brushcut the Butterfly Glade and/or the scalloped path leading down from Sherwood Glade to the bottom path.
As usual FoF will be providing all the necessary tools for the above tasks but please would you bring your own gloves and tools (shears and loppers) if you have them. Please would you also bring your own wipes and hand gel as well as your own refreshments. Please also remember to wear long trousers/jeans to avoid getting bitten by ticks but FoF’s First Aid kit does contain tick removers if needed.
