Purley BID has been shortlisted in the Croydon Business Resilience Awards for its “Community Collaboration in response to COVID-19”.
Simon Cripps, Chair of Purley BID says,
We are really proud of the work we have done over the past 18 months supporting Purley and the wider business community across Croydon. As mentioned, we managed to successfully lobby alone to get £2m of grant funding release, which was being withheld due to misinterpretation of the rules. We provided 1000’s of pieces of PPE, Screens, sanitiser, gloves, posters and more. We also provided and continue to provide support to the businesses with regards to grants and funding and advice. We also continue to work with the council on things such as the delivery of hand sanitiser stations to the town.
The next stage of the awards is a public vote. Please can you (and your groups, Family friends and pets) vote for us and we would be hugely grateful. Its very simple, just one click
