I was delighted as Cabinet Member for Childrens Service to speak at the launch of the first Family Hub in Croydon. Opened by the Executive Mayor Jason Perry at Woodlands Childrens Centre it was packed with children and families, Council officers, Health, and Community Groups and the Voluntary Sector. The first of three Family Hubs in Croydon it is a welcome Government investment of £4.3 million to support children and families here in Croydon. It signals a significant change to how services are delivered from pregnancy to 19 and 25 for young people with Send.
Services delivered through a wide partnership in one place with clear signposting to support in the community is very positive.
In Croydon we are at the start of an exciting journey supporting our children and families in a much more holistic way.
