Riddlesdown and Purley have faced a lot of mostly unwelcome flat developments recently where family homes are knocked down in favour of a block of nine flats. As well as the loss of a home though is the impact the building work has on the local area. The photo is from Mitchley Avenue showing the impact of one such development. The grass verge has wooden posts to protect it but the lorry can just destroy the verge and post with it. I've reported this to Highways, let's see if the builders actually make good their damage.
