As Deputy Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, I am pleased to see Croydon launch a health and wellbeing survey for children in year groups, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
The anonymous and confidential survey aims to give children and young people the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings and will hopefully provide real insight into what life is like for them.
A range of topics is covered such as mental health, diet, exercise, sleep and overall wellbeing. It is open to children who are in school or home schooled, including those with special educational needs.
If your child has special educational needs, please email [email protected] for information on how to take the survey.
With Croydon including London’s largest youth population, this is a unique opportunity and I hope we hear from a diverse range of children and young people. Hearing from them will help us better carry out our duties as councillors and corporate parents when it comes to ensuring that our young people live safe, happy and healthy lives in Croydon.
