It was a great pleasure to pop along to the 40th Anniversary celebration of Croydon Hearing on 27th October.
During the summer of 1982, the Croydon Circle of Hard of Hearing Groups began and grew throughout Croydon later establishing their heritage presence in Selsdon. This wonderful organisation gathered in Selsdon Hall and celebrated their 40 years of service with tea and cake with their Founder, Frankie, Trustees, Staff, and Volunteers.
Croydon Hearing is a local charity that has been working with the hearing loss community in the borough since 1982. They provide a variety of services to support and empower people who experience hearing loss, including re-tubing of hearing aids and supplying NHS hearing aid batteries.
This small, dedicated team of six part-time staff, backed by volunteers and board of trustees offers a holistic mixture of advice and information paired with practical help and support.
The Aims of Croydon Hearing
“Our aim is to continue to offer on-going practical and emotional support to our clients and their families with the hope that our positive services will restore their self-confidence and enable them to live as normal a life as possible.
