Sadly the site of the old recycling centre is now full of weeds and quite overgrown. I helped the volunteers pick up the rubbish today but the weeds have taken root and are damaging the pavement surface. The community was promised benches and a tree but nothing has happened due to the council bankruptcy. This small but important project is on hold.
I have contacted the council in the hope they can do something to treat the surface to prevent the overgrowth which is making the area look quite unsightly.
