The failure of the Labour Council to cut the grass in our ward and many parts of the borough is all too evident. I recently contacted the Council to ask when the grass verges would be cut.

There has been a considerable reduction in grass cutting staff across the borough and we now have staff seconded to Croydon Crematorium putting further pressure on staff on the ground. We have not been able to carry out the 8/10 week grass cut we hoped. We will continue grass cutting until December.
I feel really sorry for the staff whose numbers have been cut by the bankrupt Labour Administration and have been left to struggle in this way.
I have doubts that we will get another cut this year.
