Back in 2021, there was a planning application (21/00213/FUL) for 21 flats in two blocks at 57-59 Selcroft Road which was comprehensively rejected by planning officers for a total of 11 different reasons. Undeterred, the developers have come back with another application, this time for 18 flats on the same site. The new application is described as a "sculpted form which complements the architectural language and character of the area", but many residents struggle to understand this concept.
