The pedestrian crossing over the Godstone Road to the junction with Little Roke Road was destroyed by road traffic accident on 1st of July, leaving a very unsafe crossing between Riddlesdown Common and Harris Primary school.
I have worked with local residents to ask Transport for London to repair the crossing which was finally reinstated on the 27th October, much to the relief of pedestrians who regularly use this busy crossing.
I have also asked TfL to install a proper crossing on the Godstone Road between the Co-Op and the entrance to Riddlesdown Common which is used by hundreds of Riddlesdown students every day,, The exiting crossing is not fit for purpose. TfL have said that they plan to install a crossing next summer, which will be a real relief for users of this exceptionally busy and crowded road.
