I was delighted to be able to speak at Croydon Vision's AGM today. Susanette Mansour, CEO and Nigel Gooding CBE, Chair of Trustees spoke alongside me and talked of their excellent work over the year. Extremely important to their vision is the resident voice and ensuring co-production is at the forefront of the work they take forward. Those who are visually impaired must have the same access to services and the same support to live as independently for as long as they possibly can. At Croydon Vision they go that step further to ensure their outreach services support those who are unable to come to the centre, which prevents social isolation and so much more to this vulnerable group. Well done to the executive, trustees and all the volunteers supporting everyone they can in the borough with sight loss and visual impairment.
